Traditional Irish Crafts Heritage Event
Heritage Week in August is a yearly celebration of Irish Heritage. This year it will be a highlight of Ireland’s celebration of the European Year of Cultural Heritage. We would love to see people from different cultural heritage to join our Traditional Irish Crafts Heritage Event on the night.
Because of Anne Marie Curley, our local Heritage officer of Cavan County Council, we are able to offer this free event during Heritage week. We welcome adults & interested teenagers. Anne Marie is entirely committed to promote Irish Heritage, connecting people and supporting people in exploring it.
On the night we are going to have 3 locals highlighting and demonstrating traditional Irish Crafts. The people in question are Eddie Mc Grath – Basket Maker, Paula Heatlley – Traditional Irish Home Baker and Aidan Brady – Beekeeper. We are also going to use our taste buds as well to do some sample tasting.
