For Culture Night this year we present together with the Cavan County Council Arts Office and Cavan Heritage Office Old Ballades of Ireland. This will be a music event celebrating Irish culture and German relationship with Irish Music and German food. Anke Morgenroth, Bear Essentials says of the event “I really enjoy celebrating Culture Night at Bear Essentials, and this year I am combining two of my great passions, my German heritage and food and traditional Irish Ballads.
Alain Raymond, Balladeer will be singing and playing guitar and banjo. Alain speaking about the event celebrating Irish and German culture said: “We shall be singing old ballads of Ireland and songs sang by bands such as the Dubliners, Wolfe Tones, the Fureys , The Pogues and many more. We are an acoustic duo. I myself have always sang Irish ballads since a child and my influences are Luke Kelly and songs by Phil Coulter, who I was very lucky to perform with on Cork 96 FM recently.”
