The Titanic Teddy Bear
Did you know that in tribute to the centennial of the sinking of the Titanic. In honour of the brave souls and families touched by this tragedy. It was the Margarete Steiff Gmbh that had created this special edition Teddy Bear in 2012, inspired by the original “Titanic Mourning Bear” pattern of 1912.
The Bear is 35cm, five ways jointed, and is produced in a worldwide edition size of 1,912. Like its inspiration, this bear has red felt behind its black shoe button eyes. He is reflecting the universal sadness brought on by the sinking of the Titanic.
All black bears are very special but this one has a very long story behind him and will be highly collectable in years to come.
