This beautiful Steiff Bear is called the British Collector Bear 2015 and is limited to 2000 bears, available just in Ireland and UK.

He holds close and is extremely respectful of the Steiff history that he represents. Because he is born out of pure inspiration from the original Steiff Teddy bears from the early 1900´s. And thus resembles since 1902 every ounce of magic, spirit, sentiment and romance that Richard Steiff gifted his bears over 100 years ago. His striking mohair is quite exceptionally produced and skilfully woven. His deep-set eyes bring a wealth of warmth, intelligence and never ending friendship. He is a Steiff gentle-bear of yesteryear enjoying the delights of today. Our British Collector Bear 2015 is immensely proud to join the celebrated series known as the “Jewel in the crown” of the collectors´ world.”

Did you know that Margarete Steiff produced the first ever soft toy 135 years ago – it was a little elephant. At that time, the Steiff toy factory produced felt toy animals in Giengen, Germany. Wheelchair-bound as a result of polio in early childhood, Margarete didn’t know that she was paving the way for the now world-famous Steiff Teddy bear company.

Our British Collector Bear 2015 continues the long proud history of collectible Teddy bears being produced by Steiff since 1902.
