Why are brands so important to our daily life? We do buy branded products all the time. Not just luxuries products but even our daily bread is branded. Why do we buy a particular product over another one?
There are lots of reasons, taste, look, feel or identification with the brand value of a certain product. This is not so different when we buy a Teddy Bear. The intention could be to buy the highest quality of product, the softest or the safest. If we are happy and satisfied with a certain brand and what that brand stands for we are more likely to buy from them again.

The most famous of Teddy Bears, highly sort after and collectable for people worldwide are the Steiff Teddy Bears from Germany. All Mohair, jointed teddy bears have their own market for serious collectors. Steiff Teddy Bears have the longest tradition of teddy bear making and creating the first ever teddy bear in 1902. Isn’t it amazing that at the end of the 18 century, a woman started a company that will become one of the largest teddy bear companies in the world. Margarete Steiff was confined to a wheelchair due to polio but it did not stop her to be creative and innovative.
Today the Steiff brand, Steiff button in the ear, a worldwide trademark still stands for highest quality, collectable value and traditional entrepreneurial spirit.

Barbara Bukowski started to make Teddy Bears for her two sons, and gathered her inspiration from the older German teddy bears designed by Margarette Steiff. Bukowski Teddy Bears have a unique design process that is shown in every product. Each design is based on a real human being which makes them more lifelike.
Bukowski Teddy Bears are all made of completely new non recycled materials and are all tested to CE regulations. All teddy bears are washable, flameproofed and have plastic eyes double locked, so also safe for younger children.

Charlie Bears was established in 2005 by husband and wife team Charlotte and William Morris in Yorkshire. They are based in Cornwall, UK now. Each Charlie Teddy Bear is beautifully designed and hand made with great attention to detail. The bears are hand finished in Thailand. The stunning Isabelle Collection launches limited edition bears made from the finest mohair and the softest alpaca wool. These Teddy Bears are highly collectable and are currently being sold by teddy bear collectors on eBay for more than their original prices. Charlie Bears make a very good investment and they are extremely on trend at the moment. They are stocked in 30 different countries. We love Charlie Teddy bears because of their beautiful, cute design and their variety within their collection.
Hansa Creation was founded in 1972, by veteran Hans Axthelm, known worldwide for incredibly realistic, beautifully crafted plush animals. This ethical company with its ethos of educating children and adults, opposes child labour and sub-standard work practises. Children and collectors alike love his wildlife collection and many are used in zoos, photo shoots, parks to name a few. Attention to every detail, each animal is crafted according to its own natural habitat. Hansa even creates animals that are already extinct.

Our own Irish designed and hand crafted Teddy Bears are made from high quality Schulte mohair by Anke Morgenroth. They come in different collections, and are limited editions. Each bear is an original. Our own collection is inspired by our beautiful surroundings here in West Cavan. We live in between mountains, lakes and streams.
