Painting Nature with Maria Gkinala from the Loughside Art Studio is promising to be an inspiring and fascinating workshop to discover your own creativity.
We are delighted to have Maria Gkinala holding her workshop at Bear Essentials colourful gardens. Maria is a wonderful artist working with different media. She studied painting, sculpture, History of Art, Architectonic drawing, marble-carving, wood-carving & Byzantine icon-painting in Greece (1979-81).
Since 2005 she is living and working in Co. Cavan where she has had numerous solo & group exhibitions and has given lectures & workshops on Egg-Tempera & Iconography for various public groups, schools & cultural organisations.
We are very lucky to have Maria living in our local community in Bawnboy where she has been involved in many local community projects; her artwork features in several public areas, buildings & walks in the stunning local landscape.
This is a free Heritage Event
We invite you to this free workshop, which is supported by the Cavan Heritage Council during Irish Heritage Week. Anne Marie Curley has been always a great promoter of Irish Heritage week. We welcome beginners and advanced painters alike, adults and interested teenagers.
Because places are limited please book in advance!
