“I had my Teddy for 46 years and he had been through many a “teddy bear fight” courtesy of my younger brothers and had also been baked in an oven by my mother (it was an accident – she was trying to dry him!) resulting in an almost bald teddy with scorch marks. His legs and arms had been sewn back together (badly) many times and I had to put baby socks on his feet to keep the remaining stuffing inside.  My husband sent him to Bear Essentials as a surprise for my Birthday while I was on holidays and what a surprise I got when I opened the box!!! Anke had consulted with my husband about the history of my bear and repaired him using as much of the original materials as possible. While he is almost like a brand new bear Anke still somehow managed to retain his original head (with the help of a little extra material to repair ears and mouth) so he has lost none of his “character”!!

Spring into action on Saturday February 25^th and join the Heritage Office of Cavan County Council in kicking off nature’s wintery blanket!

Join Heather Bothwell, Wildlife Enthusiast and Geopark Local Tour Guide and participate in a range of organised activities to help us identify signs of spring.
Heather will encourage families to nature ” hunt and gather”, listen to the Spring symphony, smell nature’s scents and spot rainbow flowers.
Afterwards join  Anke Morgenroth of Bear Essentials in constructing food for birds and creating a spring flower display for ourselves. Afternoon tea provided. Event takes place on Saturday February 25^th in Bear Essentials, Bawnboy from 2:00-5:00pm

Does he look the same? No of course he doesn’t, he looks far more handsome after.
But he still keeps his memory and so do you.

Do you think we can be trusted?

Yes the post is safe, but register him or send him track and trace. We get bears as far as from Australia and all bears are send back either via courier or track and trace with An Post or Royal Mail.

Bears can be back within 2-3 days if you have them booked in for our hospital day once a week.

Expensive? We cannot put a price on your precious bear but we can promise you that if there is little work to do it will cost little to you. Hope this helps to answer some of your questions. We are looking forward to hear from you.

This workshop is for boys and girls from age 6 up. An afternoon of creative, sewing and stitching fun. These Monsters are great for hiding little secret messages into their pockets. Hi to all at Bear Essentials
I enclosed Teddy to be repaired. This teddy belongs to my son C. (we not use original name) age 9 and he has him since he was one year old. Previous to that he belonged to my sister and is more than 20 years old. C. brings him everywhere he goes and he is a very important part of our family. We believe he is something special to heal us when we are sick and everyone loves to cuddle him. But we realised he needs “healing” himself now and that is why we have chosen you to mend him. We know you will take extra special care of him and return him as quickly as possible. Many thanks – we will miss teddy.

We had teddy booked in for this week so he could go home within 2 days. Not only children find it hard to part with their longtime friend, adults do too. After all teddies are the holder of so many memories for us.
