Letter to the Teddy Bear Hospital

Before

Hi to all at Bear Essentials
I enclosed Teddy to be repaired. This teddy belongs to my son C. (we not use original name) age 9 and he has him since he was one year old. Previous to that he belonged to my sister and is more than 20 years old. C. brings him everywhere he goes and he is a very important part of our family. We believe he is something special to heal us when we are sick and everyone loves to cuddle him. But we realised he needs “healing” himself now and that is why we have chosen you to mend him. We know you will take extra special care of him and return him as quickly as possible. Many thanks – we will miss teddy.

We had teddy booked in for this week so he could go home within 2 days. Not only children find it hard to part with their longtime friend, adults do too. After all teddies are the holder of so many memories for us.

If you like to get in touch with us – look at our teddy bear hospital page on our website.

Some times bears need big repairs but sometimes a little bit of stitching, cleaning or stuffing will keep him “healthy” a few more years.

Teddy Bear Evaluation

January 5th, 2012 Anke No comments

old teddy bear What do you think my old teddy is worth?
At Bear Essentials we have been asked this question so many times and we  cant really  give you a satisfactory answer. We do design teddy bears and also restore old bears but to evaluate a teddy bear requires a lot of knowledge about the history of that particular bear. So the best we can do for you is to forward this address to you of someone who might be able to help.

Teddy Bear Times Magazine – 00441903884988 – they can give you an address who to write to.

When you send them a question give them as much information about your teddy bear as you can like age, where he came from, size, a photo and what else you remember. Good luck and happy new year!
